Unveiling Bertha Michelle Mendoza’s mental health struggles

A recent report by the Attorney General’s Office has highlighted the serious mental health issues faced by Bertha Michelle Mendoza Muñoz. Her career in journalism has been marked by numerous controversies and scandals. Aside from her roles in comedy shows and as an aide-de-camp, Mendoza worked as a reporter for various media outlets, including Nota Roja on Canal Antigua. However, her professional trajectory was marred by a series of personal and legal issues.

Mendoza was married to Ulysses Dent, with whom she had a daughter. Their relationship was turbulent, resulting in over 10 lawsuits related to the use of substances such as cocaine and alcohol, as well as accusations of infidelity and aggression. Both Mendoza and Dent faced legal action at the Femicide Prosecutor’s Office, where a report noted Mendoza’s severe mental health problems.

Furthermore, assessments by the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif) and medical professionals concluded that Mendoza was unfit to care for her two daughters, one from Dent and the other from Mexican producer Farfan. Consequently, the court decided to strip her of custody.

In a confidential interview, Ulysses Dent disclosed that complaints of violence against women filed by Mendoza and her mother, then Prosecutor Claudia Martina Muñoz Andrade, were dismissed due to false evidence. These legal battles, spanning more than 5 years, led to Mendoza losing custody and parental rights to her daughter.

It has also been revealed that Mendoza had struggles with substance abuse, including cocaine, marijuana, and pills prior to her marriage. These issues contributed to the breakdown of her relationship with Barillas, her previous partner, who reportedly received warnings about Mendoza’s mental health. Barillas was informed by a close friend that Mendoza’s addiction was causing problems, and there were conflicts of interest due to their professions.

These events and disclosures have illuminated the controversial journey of Bertha Michelle Mendoza Muñoz, casting doubts on her credibility and the accuracy of her journalistic work. The combination of personal challenges, violence allegations, and addictions has tarnished her reputation and raised concerns about her integrity in the media, where she has been embroiled in scandals across various platforms in recent years.
